“Inspiring Vermont Entrepreneurs to – ReFocus – ReImagine – ReEngineer”

RANDOLPH CENTER, Vt. (Jan. 7, 2021) – More than 200 Vermont educators, business advisors, business leaders, and students will come together virtually on Feb. 10, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to join 12th annual Vermont Student Entrepreneurship Day free event. The theme of this year’s event is, “Inspiring Vermont Entrepreneurs to – ReFocus – ReImagine – ReEngineer. We’ve got you covered.”

As the very first virtual Entrepreneurship Day, an exciting agenda offers an opportunity for high school and technical school students to showcase their work as well as a chance to hear from leading experts on their stories and experiences.  A panel of inspiring entrepreneurs will share their expertise followed by a Q&A. Students will also be able to learn about personal branding from a leading expert in her field. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners of the themed Bumper Sticker and Video Contests.

Featured speakers include Rooney Castle of Rhino Foods and Catlin O’Shaughnessy Coffrin of Captivating Consulting. The entrepreneur panel, moderated by VtSBDC advisor Sarah Kearns, includes: Skylar Bagdon, Power Scavengers; Heather Dalton, StrollRunner; and Marina McCoy, Waste Free Earth.

“Our students are the future of Vermont,“ said Linda Rossi, VtSBDC State Director. “We are excited about providing a program that celebrates entrepreneurship, applauds the success of local business leaders, helps students build a foundation in critical thinking and communication skills for their life-long careers, and introduces them to supportive resources they can turn to in the future.”

Vermont Student Entrepreneurship Day is brought to you by Vermont Small Business Development Center; U.S. Small Business Administration – Vermont District Office; Vermont Career and Technical Student Organizations; and Vermont Business Education Corps.
