Michael Lash joins the VtSBDC advising team

Michael Lash has joined the Vermont Small Business Development Center (VtSBDC) advising team. He will focus his advisory services on businesses in Franklin and Grand Isle counties.

Michael comes to VtSBDC with a wide breadth of business experience, specifically in the areas of operational efficiency, product purchasing, pricing, and customer service. As a seasoned entrepreneur, he will support business owners at all stages of their company’s life-cycle.

He owned and operated the Ethan Allen Design Center in Shelburne for 40 years, before retiring in 2016. During that time, he sold furniture to over a quarter million people. As a business advisor, Michael is excited to use his extensive skill-set to help other business owners.

“I’m grateful to have the opportunity to help start-ups, incubator, and small businesses succeed,” he said.

Michael is a native Vermonter and received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Vermont. He is an active volunteer and member of several boards.

“I am thrilled to have Michael on our advising team,” said Linda Rossi, State Director for the VtSBDC. “His skill set matches many of the challenges our clients face as business owners. He has an enthusiastic approach toward guiding small business owners to make improvements that build value in their businesses.”

VtSBDC offers one-on-one, no-cost, confidential advising to business owners to assist with a wide range of general management issues, including: finance, marketing, human resources and strategic planning. www.vtsbdc.org
